WEBINAR: 5G Design Challenges and Proposed Strategies
Considering how current trends are affecting 5G network design. Exploring the influence of higher frequency bands and new KPIs and identifying key features including: DSS, UL/DL, Latency and FD Beam forming. Modeling decisions to deploy these features, highlighting experiences from the field and the emergence of new network design parameters to support new use cases.

WEBINAR: Solving 5G Problems Using New Data, Algorithms and an Automation Paradigm Across the Network Lifecycle
For Operators to flexibly control the services their 5G network can provide and deliver very advanced QoS SLAs to app developers and end users, they will have to face and solve unprecedented financial, technical and complexity challenges, and will need to transform. Leveraging automation is pivotal to operators’ ability to deal with this 5G transformation efficiently. Exploring why automating data flows, data analytics, tasks/workflows and decisions across the network lifecycle, while enabling cloud-native OSS evolution, is a path to 5G success. Assessing how open, orchestrated, scalable, cloud-native / micro-services running on a new type of data source can help operators to achieve their ambitious 5G goals. Illustrating real case implementations, including our collaboration with Rakuten Mobile, which delivers the first carrier-grade, cloud-based platform for radio network planning, design and optimization.

VIRTUAL WORKSHOP:
Evolving Microwave & mmWave Radio for X-Haul
How do we increase wireless transport capacity without reducing link length or performance? Considering traditional microwave bands from 6GHz - 42GHz and the potential for mmWave including; V-Band, E-Band, W-Band and D Band innovation along with the role of 3GPP Integrated Access and Backhaul in small cell networks? Exploring how optical transport technologies with smart self-tuning optics and time sensitive networking (TSN) can help fiber relief and aggregation.

WEBINAR: Impulse Response-Ultra Wide Band (IR-UWB) Technology, Use Cases and Market Potential of this New Industry
UWB technology is poised to become the next wireless technology wave, following its prestigious predecessors WiFi and Bluetooth. UWB is not new, as Marconi was using its properties for Radar. So why now, and why such a renewed interest? One way to look at it is instead of being focused on spectrum, to focus on time (time domain vs frequency domain). Measuring the time of flight (ToF) will provide (considering propagation at the speed of light) a distance measurement and the larger the bandwidth, the shorter the time. So UWB gives us very fine ToF measure, hence very accurate distance information, sub-10cm for a single measurement. A specific UWB technique is of particular interest for the ToF measurement: IR-UWB (Impulse Response).

WEBINAR: 5G Radio Units for Coherent Beamforming: Advantages, Design Challenges & Solutions
Massive MIMO is believed by many to be the most capable 5G RAN solution for capacity. Its shortfalls such as cost due to high complexity, fundamental difficulties in FDD and high sensitivity to practical factors seem to be accepted as unavoidable. In addition, the carrier-preferred O-RAN open fronthaul interface and functional-split for Massive MIMO impose difficult design and integration challenges. These challenges can be largely reduced with Coherent Massive MIMO without sacrificing performance. This technology is based on a low-cost large radio array with inherent RF Coherency generating agile 3D beamforming.
