Non-Terrestrial Networks
Initiatives are now underway to address how satellite can augment global 5G roll-out, with the enhanced connectivity delivering more than just faster streaming and quicker downloads on mobile devices. Considering device options, direct-to-device (D2D) and 3GPP evolution, link design - delay, doppler and how to address these; satellite design - EIRP, G/T, Power and how to get it launched; link budgets, new losses (scintillation), channel models, body loss and margin; Spectrum (L&S band licensed satellite spectrum versus reuse of terrestrial spectrum as well as the associated regulatory and interference concerns); antennas, accessories.

WEBINAR: Sparse Array Approach to Imaging Radar and Comparison with a Quasi Massive MIMO Technique
Introduction to two distinctive classes of FMCW MIMO radar approaches to imaging radar. Their key advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. The first class of MIMO radar technique prioritizes simultaneous transmission MIMO for achieving robust range Doppler detection performance. The second class of MIMO radar technique prioritizes large uniform array digital beamforming capability for achieving low ambiguity in the angular domain. Performance tradeoffs in detection sensitivity, target dynamic range in range, Doppler, and angle domains, and angular resolution, are discussed. Analyses on the design constraints, suitable use cases, and limitations of the two classes of approaches are also provided.

WEBINAR: Revolutionize ADAS Radar Sensor Pre-processing by Unleashing Ultra-Low Latency with eFPGA Technology
Exploring how flexible accelerators driven by eFPGA can strategically enhance radar sensor adaptation, leading to unparalleled low-latency radar sensor processing. Unlike conventional CPU or DSP approaches, these accelerators boast significantly reduced latency, operate at lower frequencies, and consume minimal power. While not aimed at replacing CPUs or DSPs, eFPGAs can be strategically positioned near sensors or sensor interfaces. This strategic placement empowers the execution of ultra-low-latency control loops, seamless offloading of data paths, and efficient handling of further processing operations.

WEBINAR: Revolutionizing Imaging Radar: Advanced Processing Techniques for an Array of Applications
In the world of Imaging Radar, the primary goal is to accurately and efficiently represent the world, providing the sensor suite with unparalleled and essential fusion ready data that cannot be offered by vision sensors. Advanced post processing techniques will be explored with a focus on high resolution, super resolution, effective resolution of multipaths, elimination of false alarms, and interference mitigation. Through the application of these techniques, Imaging Radar emerges as a pivotal sensor within the fusion sensor suite. Emphasis will be on methodologies to open the door for OEMs to extend the application of radar beyond the conventional uses in ADAS and AV applications, to a diverse range of scenarios, from detecting lost cargo on the road, optimizing highway merging, making informed decisions at intersections, navigating challenging road inclines, achieving smooth transitions in and out of tunnels, and other cases challenging scenarios.

WEBINAR: Performance assessment of 5G and B5G networks with Digital Twin and augmented RF Channel Modeling
The emergence of new wireless technologies and use cases is increasing the complexity of network configuration and performance optimization. Relying on a virtual twin to test and analyze network and equipment performance is an efficient solution for evaluating a multitude of static and mobility scenarios as well as considerably reducing the effort needed for field-based validation. Precise digital representations of environments incorporating wireless network elements and accurate RF simulations represent key assets in understanding complex phenomena of wireless networks as well as generating large volumes of datasets that can support the training of PHY/MAC AI models and optimization algorithms.
